About Us

We are a privately-owned counseling center located in Gainesville, VA. We are conveniently located on Rt. 29 and regularly provide services to individuals from Gainesville, Haymarket, Bristow, Warrenton, Culpeper, and Front Royal. Our clients comprise all cultural, racial, and economic backgrounds. We are affiliated with the American Counseling Association.


Margaret Harvey, M.S., LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor

Maggie Harvey received her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech where she majored in psychology and minored in sociology. She then earned her Master of Science degree in counseling psychology from Radford University. Mrs. Harvey is a Licensed Professional Counselor who conducts individual, marriage and family counseling for adults, adolescents, and children over the age of five.

She provides counseling for problems including, but not limited to ADD/ADHD, mood disorders (such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar), and stress/life management. Mrs. Harvey utilizes a variety of techniques designed to meet the needs of each client. These techniques stem from a psychodynamic approach to therapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Behavior Modification.

Eve Radin, M.Ed./Ed.S, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor

Eve Radin earned both her Bachelorís degree in Psychology and her Masterís degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Virginia. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides individual, group, and marriage/family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Ms. Radin has experience working with clients who suffer from depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, relationship and communication problems, and anger management. Drawing from a variety of clinical approaches, Ms. Radin tailors her therapy to each client's individual needs. She has broad experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client Centered Therapy, and Reality Therapy.


Christine M. Reynolds, MSSW, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Christine Reynolds received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, where she majored in both Psychology and the History of Art. She earned her Master of Science in Social Work at Columbia University. Ms. Reynolds is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience providing client-focused and cognitive behavioral (CBT) psychotherapy to clients in private practice, clinic, and hospital settings. Ms. Reynolds offers clinical expertise to adults, adolescents, children, families and couples around issues which include, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, stress management, chronic illness, grief and bereavement, and caregiver concerns. Ms. Reynolds' has a calming, non-judgmental style which encourages self-expression and assists clients to set realistic goals from the initial visit. Ms. Reynolds' extensive experience counseling those with chronic illness, particularly those with cancer and kidney disease, provides a comfortable environment for those who are seeking understanding and knowledge of the issues that often face these individuals and their families.


Ellina Creary, M.S, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor

Ellina Creary earned a Bachelor's degree in Art from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a Master's of Science in Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University. Ellina is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides individual, group, couples, and family therapy. Ms. Creary has diverse experience working with adults, children and adolescents in a variety of settings including crisis care centers, community centers, hospitals, inpatient, outpatient and residential programs. Ms. Creary uses Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapy techniques in her sessions and specializes in treatment of eating disorders as well as mood disorders, maternal mental health, relationship problems, stage of life and cultural integration difficulties. Ms. Creary is passionate about her work and has a warm, welcoming and compassionate approach to therapy. She marvels at her clients resilience and ability to persevere through the toughest of life's circumstances.


Mahogany LaCour, MSW, CADC, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Mahogany LaCour’s passion to help people is what led her to a profession whose ethical duty coincides with her values. As a military brat, spouse and her time in the Army National Guard she has been able to adapt, meet and surround herself with several people from all parts of the world. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in Texas from Prairie View A & M University. Following, she went to Clark Atlanta University to obtain her Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health. Mrs. LaCour is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that provides individual, group and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults. She has experience in various levels of care such as outpatient, partial hospitalization/inpatient, residential and correctional care. Mrs. LaCour has worked with individuals who suffer with but not limited to substance use, depression, anxiety, PTSD, personality disorders, relationship and other psychosocial stressors. She ensures that each client’s care is personalized to meet their needs by using a generalist approach. Mrs. LaCour uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Behavior Modification, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Client Centered Therapy. Through these models and/or others, Mrs. LaCour strives for her client’s ability to combat through challenges and manage their daily lives. “You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.”- John Bunyan 


Saadia Munawar, Ph.D., LPC

My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. Every client I counsel is a unique individual with their own unique background. I treat and help them in a way that is also unique to them keeping in consideration their values, belief systems, culture and religion.  I strive to assist my clients heal from the inside out one step at a time and at a pace set by the client. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan that fits you. I promise to be there for you every step of your journey and helping you optimize your mental health goals. I have over 10 years of working experience in the mental health arena. I have worked in private, hospital and community/government based settings. I have always worked within the scope and boundaries of my profession. I am a positive person, trustworthy, and goal oriented individual. I am able to build long term professional relationships through my education and clinical skills as well as experience in working with diverse culture and groups. 


Carolyn S. Kramp, M.A., LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Carolyn is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years’ experience providing individual, couples/family, or play therapy in diverse settings including private practice, EAP program, outpatient clinics, residential treatment facilities, and hospitals. She earned a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the School of Psychology at Fuller Seminary, and two Bachelor’s in Economics and Studio Art from the University of Maryland. She works with children, adolescents and adults and tailors the therapy to the client’s age and issues. In doing so she draws on several approaches -- cognitive-behavior, family systems, mindfulness, psychodynamic, expressive play, and communication theory. She uses an integrative perspective that considers the whole person, ie, mind, body, and relationships, which has been very helpful for her clients. She specializes in providing play therapy, couples work and Christian counseling, and in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, as well as parenting, relationship, communication, abuse and special needs issues. Ms. Kramp has a warm, nonjudgmental and collaborative style. She counts it a true privilege to assist clients on their journey towards healing and growth.


Gary Schwanke, M.A.,  LPC 
Licensed Professional Counselor

Gary Schwanke received his Bachelor’s of Science from George Mason University, where he majored in Social Work.  He then earned his Master of Arts degree from Webster International University in Lakeland Florida majoring in Professional Mental Health Counseling.  Gary Schwanke is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides services to children (5+), adolescents and adults as well as couples and families.

He provides counseling for a variety of conditions, including, but not limited to, those listed below.  To address these concerns, Gary, utilizes a multitude of techniques that focus on the individual in the greater context of their personal/professional/educational lives.  Humor is also a large component of Gary’s style.    Mr. Schwanke uses techniques that a client needs in order to manage their symptoms effectively.  These techniques stem from a pychodynamic approach including Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client Centered Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.  Gary likes employing concrete solutions and evidence based practice techniques in order to help clients as they need it.

Gia Thi, MSW, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Gia Thi received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from George Mason University. She earned her master degree in social work at Virginia Commonwealth University. Ms. Thi is a licensed clinical social worker who provides individual and family therapy. Ms. Thi has extensive experiences in residential, home-based, and outpatient settings. She also has worked with youths, adults, and families with, but not limited to, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, parent training, Autism, mood disorders, through the use of CBT, ABA, psychodynamic, attachment, structural family therapy, and relapse prevention frameworks. Ms. Thi also has a broad understanding of the IEP process and community resources. Ms. Thi strives to assist her clients, through their therapeutic journeys, in the pursuit of their ideal self.


Taylor Reames, M.S.Ed.
Resident in Counseling

Taylor Reames is currently an LPC resident, who has proven success working with children, teens and adults suffering from a variety of mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, obsessive compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.  In addition, Ms. Reames specializes in the treatment of eating disorders following her work in a residential treatment setting that focused on the treatment of eating disorders for adult females, their spouses and families. Taylor uses a person-centered approach that incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy.  Her unconditional care and compassion allow for a safe and nonjudgmental environment.  Taylor received both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Science in Education, with a specialization in mental health counseling, from Old Dominion University.



Carry Durham, M.A., LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor

Carry Durham received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ashford University in Iowa.  She earned her Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at South University. Mrs. Durham is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who provides individual therapy to adults and children over the age of five. She has extensive experience in residential, therapeutic day treatment and outpatient settings. She also has worked with youths, adults, and families with, but not limited to, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, parent training, and mood disorders. She enjoys using the modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client Centered Therapy and Trauma Informed Care. Mrs. Durham’s compassionate support allows individuals to work through challenges and gain the change they desire.
